APSF Process

The Asia Pacific Social Forum (APSF) was started  through an online event in 2022  as a process of encounters, held in an open space as per  WSF charter of principles, where  organizations and movements  can come and interact to address critical challenges facing the Asia Pacific region. In 2023, members of the APSF again met in Bangkok to prepare for WSF 2024, which was later held successfully in Kathmandu, Nepal. After that, on August 30–31, 2024, the group came back together to review the achievements of WSF 2024 and to start planning for APSF 2025. The forum serves as an essential space for civil society organizations, grassroots movements, and social justice advocates to engage in collective reflections, strategic mobilizations, and policy-oriented discussions throughself-organized activities.
